[ 25 February 2008, Hong Kong] One of the leading game developers and operators in the PRC, NetDragon Websoft Inc. (“NetDragon” or the”Company“, with its subsidiary collectively the “Group“; Stock Code: 8288.HK) is pleased to announce that the Group has been honoured by “Forbes” as a “Most Potential Enterprise in China of Year 2008″and by”Fortune” as an “Outstanding Employer of 2007”. These awards recognize the Group’s outstanding achievements in business performance and development and in human resources management respectively.
The Chinese edition of the internationally renowned financial magazine “Forbes” announced on 17thJanuary 2008 that NetDragon had been included in its list of “Most Potential Enterprises in China of Year 2008” on account of its outstanding performance and highly promising future. The Group was ranked 66th on the list. Nominees were selected from small- and medium-sized enterprises in a wide range of industries in China, with more than 8,000 enterprises involved. All enterprises nominated had various aspects of their business examined thoroughly. Five financial indicators were taken into consideration, including returns on equity, returns on net assets, rates of sales growth and profit growth, and profit margins. In addition, the growth, profitability, and returns on investment of the enterprises were inspected, based on the 2007 interim financial information of small- and medium-sized enterprise candidates from mainstream businesses, and their ranking was calculated based on relevant financial information for the years 2004 to 2006. In the end, 200 small- and medium-sized enterprises were selected as showing the most potential.
On 7th November 2007, “Fortune” announced its list of “Outstanding Employers of 2007”, and NetDragon was honored to be recognized as “Outstanding Employer – the Company with the Most Comfortable Working Environment”. It was the only local online game company from either the PRC or overseas amongst the 20 winners of the “Outstanding Employer” award. The “Outstanding Employers of 2007” selection was assessed on the basis of employers’ ability to attract and retain talented staff, and the ranking was based on feedback from employees and their satisfaction rate. This year, 120 companies in total were involved in the selection process, which involved a variety of tests, and NetDragon was successfully named on the final list.
