NetDragon Brings Digital Learning Technologies to Malaysia

Today, NetDragon signed a tripartite cooperation Memorandum of Understanding on digital education with Aspire Link, a local professional education institution in Malaysia, and the Sarawak State Government of Malaysia. The three parties will play their respective advantages to develop and improve digital education in Sarawak. Leveraging Promethean’s interactive displays and mobile digital technologies and its proprietary industry-leading AI, VR/AR, big data and other technologies, NetDragon will create a deep learning digital education platform and a new classroom environment. Prior to the signing, more than twenty officials of the Sarawak State Government of Malaysia visited Fuzhou on 25-28 November 2018. During the visit, the leaders of the Fujian Provincial Government held a meeting with the officials of the Sarawak State Government. During its visit, the officials of the Sarawak State Government also visited NetDragon. The management team of NetDragon participated in reception and discussion activities, and also invited the officials of the Sarawak State Government to experience the corporate culture of NetDragon, visit the Fujian VR Experience Centre in China, and learn more about NetDragon’s latest products in AI, VR/AR, Big Data and other cutting-edge technologies that are used in digital education. NetDragon has impressed the officials of the Sarawak State Government by applying technologies such as AI, VR/AR, and big data to sectors including education, healthcare, and transportation. Following extensive discussion, Promethean, a subsidiary of NetDragon, the person-in-charge of Aspire Link and Science and Technology Research Department of the Ministry of Education of Sarawak, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on tripartite cooperation in digital education.

NetDragon acquired 100% shareholding in Promethean in 2015. Promethean is a global leader in online learning technologies and one of the world’s few interactive teaching solution vendors that combines hardware and software; whereas Aspire Link is a local professional educational institution in Malaysia. According to the Memorandum of Understanding, NetDragon will leverage advantages in technology and resources, combined with the global brand and marketing advantages of Promethean, to jointly build and promote local digital education in collaboration with Aspire Link and the Sarawak State Government of Malaysia. On top, the collaboration will provide hardware, software, platforms and resources to improve the quality of local digital education in Sarawak. At the same time, NetDragon will provide corresponding digital education skills and knowledge training for educators in Sarawak, and comprehensively promote the development of digital education in Sarawak, to ensure more students will be receiving up-to-standard quality digital education.

In fact, as early as 2016 and early 2017, NetDragon has made multiple introductions and product demonstrations to the Malaysian Ministry of Education Evaluation Committee. Promethean’s education products were recognized by the Malaysian official. The spokesman of the Sarawak State Government of Malaysia commented that through cooperation with NetDragon, the level and quality of digital education in local governments in Malaysia will be further enhanced to better serve local students and teachers.
