NetDragon Websoft Inc. Launches New English Expansion Pack for Conquer Online

Further bolstering its share of overseas markets

[22 December 2008, Hong Kong] NetDragon Websoft Inc. (“NetDragon” or the “Company”, with its subsidiaries collectively referred to as the “Group”; Stock Code: 777), a leading game developer and operator in the PRC, officially launched a new English language expansion pack for Conquer Online, “New Dynasty” at 8pm Pacific Standard Time (PST) on 19 December, following the launch of its Chinese language expansion pack “New Dynasty” (“An Ren Wei Ji”) on 25 November.

As one of the major products of NetDragon, Conquer Online has been receiving positive feedback from players since its release in 2003. Available in different versions and six languages, it’s the Group’s first online game launched overseas, with players now in over 100 countries and regions. In 2005, Conquer Online became the first Chinese online game endorsed by the Electronic Entertainment Expo committee.

Set in the ancient warring era of China, this latest expansion pack version of Conquer Online features a new ninja character, allowing players to experience exciting competition between them and five other classical protagonists. In addition, the new expansion pack provides greater challenges with new quests, maps, skills and equipment, providing greater enjoyment options for the players.

Building on the success of Conquer Online, as well as a series of other previously launched online games, the Group has achieved satisfactory results in its efforts to develop in the overseas markets. Moreover, the Group has won the “Award for Overseas Development of Chinese Domestic Games” by the China Game Publishers Association and General Administration of Press and Publication for four consecutive years. Continually developing new and original online games, as well as expanding their current operations, the Group has taken the lead in exploring overseas markets and has become one of the largest Chinese online game operators in the United States.

NetDragon has launched its online games in six different languages, including English, French and Spanish, to cater to the needs of the multiple language markets in the online gaming industry. The group has also upgraded its overseas operations department as well, making it a specialized operations centre, to strengthen its development and operational capabilities abroad. Looking forward, the Group plans to leverage the cooperation with the world’s two leading interactive entertainment companies, Disney and Electronic Arts, to continue its innovative research and development activities while further expanding its presence in international markets. The Group seeks to develop and introduce the fascinating aspects of oriental culture to overseas players.
